FREETOWN, Jan. 27 (232news.com) – Sierra Leone Inspector General of Police has been implicated in the murder of Mohamed Koroma who is commonly called “Don Pole.” This was made known on a local radio station report on the murder of Don Pole.
The report indicated that the Inspector General of Police Ambrose Sovula told the family of Don Pole that he was stabbed and not shot by the security attached to the Chairman of the Sierra Leone People Party (SLPP), Prince Alex Harding.
The report exposed the Inspector General of police as one that is serving the interest of the politicians particularly those in the ruling party than securing lives and properties.
The mother of the deceased said that IG Souvula told them that her son was stabbed only for hospital report to prove that he was shot by a Police Officer attached to the Chairman of SLPP who is also Chair of National Commission for Privatization (NCP).
A friend of “Don Pole said that he (Don Pole) was shot before him and that the Inspector General of Police lied that the deceased was stabbed.
“We are crying to President Bio, we need justice for Don Pole. As I am talking even my own life is at risk… I G has not upheld justice. I am crying to President Bio for justice,” the friend sighed!
Report revealed that ‘Don Pole’ used to be working for the current SLPP Chairman, Prince Alex Harding but decided to switch camps to the Organizing Secretary, Jimmy Batilio Songia who is alsovying for the Chairman Position because according to an interview from the late man, he was not benefitting anything from Harding.
It is a result of this that Prince Harding became fumed and decided to order his Security to shoot Don Pole when there was fracas at the party office between camps.
