The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ladies with Vision, Madiana Mensah-Gborie is among the awardees of the 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women’s Award winners.
Madiana surprised to have been nominated by one of her students from Njala University, Kaday Zorokong Kabba.
She explained that Kaday requested her biography and told her she wants to nominate her for the 50 most influential Sierra Leonean Women’s Award. Madiana did as requested and her biography caught the eyes of the committee and fortunately, she was selected to be voted for.
As the founder of a feminist organization and double as a lecturer, Madiana have been re-energized to continue creating an impact in the lives of her beneficiaries and her students.
“I will continue advocating for women, and girls and reach out to more of them who are in dire need. I will keep mentoring, coaching, teaching, inspiring, and motivating both male and female students within my workplace, to do more and be more,” she said.
She expressed her excitement about her winning because she felt she have been given a platform to showcase to Sierra Leone and the world her work and the strides she has taken for nation-building.
“I want to encourage every young woman out there to keep chasing that dream, and never relent. Be resilient in actualising your dream and be rest assured that, one day, your hard work will pay off,” she sited.
