Popular entertainment executive Amb. Alhaji K. Tarawally, commonly known as Laj-K, has provided over One Hundred Million old Leones campaign materials towards the SLPP-NGC Alliance.
Laj-K, who is a widely known, popular and influential youth amongst young people in the country, said that he was certain that President Julius Maada Bio is sure to secure a second term based on visible and tangible achievements.
He added that there was every need to support President Bio and that with Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, he was hopeful of a no-runoff election. Laj-K noted that President Bio had done a whole lot for Sierra Leone and therefore urged young people to get him re-elected.
He said that it was an informed decision for him to have invested that much in the campaign materials, adding that he strongly believes in the vision of President Bio and that of the NGC leader, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella. The materials are expected to be placed in different parts of Freetown to create and enhance visibility for the incumbent, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
Amb. Alhaji K. Tarawally is an experienced professional, accomplished, achievement-driven and results-oriented. He recently completed his double Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the Schiller International University, Heidelberg, in Germany, and at the University of Roehampton in London, United Kingdom. He is a PhD Candidate, an Entertainment Executive, TV Personality, Part-time Lecturer, Youth Ambassador, Communication Expert.
He is the Founder and CEO of LAKE Group of Companies and the National Entertainment SL Limited. He was the former Head of Communications and the Coordinator of the Internship, Volunteers, Industrial Experience Training and Recruitment Programme at the AYV Media Empire. Before holding this position, he was the Director of Programme, Monitoring and Quality Control for two years.
Before joining AYV Media Empire, Amb. Tarawally successfully served some of the most prominent media institutions in Sierra Leone such as Fondation Hirondelle/CTN, Premier Media Group, Star Radio, and AfriRadio. He also served as the National Programme Coordinator of Prison Foundation–Sierra Leone, a local non-governmental and human rights organisation.
He is credited for numerous community development and awards for advocating for promoting youth-related activities, sports, and the creative industry. He is a mentor and a role model who has captured the attention of prominent dignitaries in Sierra Leone and throughout Africa. This attention has earned him several notable professionals and civic recognitions awards throughout the continent of Africa.
