The head coach of the Sierra Leone national team ‘A’ Leone Stars John Keister has on Monday informed the media that he has invited 12 foreign based players for the day 5 AFCON qualify match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Liberia. The 12 foreign based will be back up home players who will make it to the final list of the home base players. According to him a team of 26 home based players will be heading to Bo for camping and training. He though said four foreign based will be missing the Nigeria encounter some due to injury, some for suspension and the others for club engagement. Among them are Issah Kallon in China, Alex Bangura, Sulley Kaikai for reason, Jonathan Moseray taking some rest for knee injury, Alhassan Koroma suspension for yellow cards. In this case he said they looked out for players that are active in their various leagues both at home and abroad. Taking the home players to Bo is to let them concentrate on the training and at the end they will cut down the number to what they want based on the invited foreign base honouring the invitation. Some of the foreign based players will arrive in Freetown soon and they will head to Bo to join the others. The team will depart to Liberia few days to the match to Liberia. In Liberia he said they will play a close door friendly match with the Liberia national team Lone Stars who are also preparing for their own qualifier in an match away fixture.
