Leone Stars Technical Team Addressing the Players

FREETOWN, June 3 (SALONE TIMES) –The Sierra Leone senior male football team Leone Stars is presently in Guinea preparing for the AFCON qualifying match against Nigeria in Abuja and against Guinea Bissau in Conakry. The only standard stadium in Sierra Leone is being banned and undergoing renovation. In this case the football authorities travelled to Guinea to go into agreement with the football authorities and the Guinea government to allow them play all their home matches at one of their stadiums. Apart from their home matches in Guinea the team now have their camp in Guinea for the preparations for both home and away matches. The team started effective training few days ago ahead of their first qualifying against Nigeria on the 9th June in Abuja. According to sources from Guinea all the invited foreign based players have joined the home based players in Guinea for the two matches. The team will travel to Nigeria on the 7th June and will engage the Super Eagles of Nigeria on the 9th June 2022. They started their training as a team on Wednesday at the A.S. Kaloum mini stadium in Conakry. The team will return to Guinea after the Super Eagles match to engage the Guinea Bissau national team on the 13th June 2022 in Conakry.
