Marie Stopes Sierra Leone on Tuesday 4th July 2023 Launches Rain Season Koba -Klos, at the Marie Stopes office, Freetown.
The country Director of Marie Stopes Sierra Leone, Mohamed Kabba said this initiative, spanning an entire month, holds the purpose of improving women’s wellness and strengthening our healthcare system.
He furthered that Through this campaign, we aim to raise public awareness about the services provided by Marie Stopes clinics, dispel misconceptions, and build trust within our communities. It is a call to action, an opportunity for us to come together and make a lasting impact.
He continued that the campaign entails comprehensive strategies that encompass both our static clinics and outreach programs. He noted that during this time, all of our 8 static clinics will be offering a 50% discount on ultrasound scan services and providing free Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) services. By doing so, we strive to reach more client that needs our service and to reinforce our mission which is, Children by Choice, not chance.
He said our outreach and Public Sector Strengthening (PSS) initiatives will continue to provide free FP services (both LT & ST).He said they want to extend their reach and touch as many lives as possible throughout Sierra Leone.
“Our campaign will kick off on July 1, 2023, following the successful launch of the Quarter 2 campaign. By strategically covering different regions, we aim to maximize our impact and ensure that no one is left behind.”
He expressed their gratitude, Marie Stopes Sierra Leone acknowledges the invaluable support of government stakeholders, partners, and funders. It is through their collaboration and investment that they are able to achieve remarkable results. Together, we empower individuals and change lives in Sierra Leone.
He concluded that the Rain Season Koba-Klos Saamba campaign is a significant endeavor that aims to enhance women’s wellness, dispel misconceptions, and strengthen the healthcare system in Sierra Leone. He thank everyone for their attention and invite everyone to join them on this journey of transformation and empowerment of Women and Girls in our great Leone.
