The launch of the 2022 promo is in line with the Government of Sierra Leone’s family planning (FP) commitments specifically aim at reaching 755,939 additional women with FP services and to increase modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) from its most recent value of 21.2% in 2019 to 33.7% by 2022, as well as reduce adolescent birth rates from 125/1000 (2013) to 74/1000 in 2022. “The private sector and non-governmental organisations have also invested in the health sector.
