FREETOWN – In marking the 70th anniversary of one of Chinese oldest shows, Sierra Leone Cultural Ambassador to China who is also a philanthropist and artist, Mariatu Kargbo popularly known as Maria will perform tonight alongside Jackie Chan.
Maria is the only foreign national that will be performing alongside Chan Kong-sang, known professionally as Jackie Chan, a Hong Konger martial artist, actor, film director, producer, stuntman, and singer, among other top most Chinese artists.
This is one of the Chinese biggest and oldest shows and Maria is so proud to be part of the show and to perform alongside Jackie Chan.
Maria was recently recognized as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD). Maria was among other Sierra Leoneans like the first lady Fatima Bio and Akon that received the awards.
Her performance will not come as a surprise as many Chinese know her. She is a household name in China just like Sierra Leone among other countries across the world.
Maria who is the founder of Mariatu Kargbo Foundation drilled Presidents, Ministers and other diploma at the United Nations General Assembly.
She has been captured by the Guinea’s book of record and had received couple of awards around the world including Miss World and one-time Miss Sierra Leone.
