FREETOWN – The Modern High School in Freetown has once again taken top spot in public examinations. This year Sophie Kelson-Sesay emerged with the best result in the country with an average grade of 2.33 as compared to Abdul Aziz Bangura from the Providence International Senior High School who took second with an average score of 2.56.
Sophie had the following results

Management In Living A1
It is of note to know that Sohie first came to the academic limelight when she displayed her brilliance in the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) by scoring 364 and later in the BECE where she obtained an aggregate of Six (6).
The Principal of the school Mr. Tibbi said that they received the results with mixed feelings. Though Sophie got the best result nationwide for which they thanked God but they are a little disappointed that the number of good grades in the school as a whole fell way below expectations. “We had worked on Sophie and were hoping for ones (1s) in all her subjects as she did in the BECE exams,” Mr. Tibbie said.
Sophie on her part confirmed her Principal’s disappointed. “Personally, I was expecting more.” Sophie says that she wants to study law but her options are still open.
