The Superintendent of Police, Officer Commanding the New England Ville Police Station, Monica Emelda Johnson, over the weekend provided Iftar for Police officer and residents that are Muslims within the New England Ville Community.

The Line Manager of Child Support Unit, New England Ville Police Station, Audrey Rita Kamara, while welcoming residents of New England Ville and her colleagues to the Police Station thanked the O.C for her kind gestured to the Muslims.

She said they want to ensure that the June 24 elections go on smoothly that is why they always get such gathering so that peace will reign in the community.

 She continued that they want peace in that community and that everyone should work in one accord. 

The Superintendent of Police, Officer Commanding, of the New England Ville Police, Monica Emelda Johnson, said her staff are working on 24 hours’ basis, and most of them will want to buy food to break their fast, so she brings her own initiative to gives Iftar to them and the community people.

Superintendent Johnson pointed out that even if she was not a staff at the New England Ville Police Station, she should have done the same.

According to her, she puts together her little resources and what she got from friends to do such donation.

She spoke about her cordial relationship with her staff with no challenge, adding that they always involve the resident of New England in everything they are doing.

“We are changing the whole narrative of the Police. Now commanders are seeking the welfare of personnel,” she said.

She concluded that since she took up office, a lot of changes have taken place such as the cleaning of the community and the police station. 

The Muslims thanked the OC for her kind gesture towards them in the holy month of Ramadan.
