FREETOWN, Feb. 02 (SALONE TIMES) – Bockarie Kalokoh, the Newly Approved Deputy Minister of Finance Two has received an inordinate parliamentary approval. This is indicative of the fact that Bockarie Kalokoh has been a long standing friend of parliament. The Hon. Kandeh Yumkella said- he is particularly happy to see Bockarie Kalokoh rise above various administrative levels within and beyond the shores of Sierra Leone- particularly so in Nigeria. He maintained that, the recently appointed Deputy Minster Two of the Ministry of Finance will add value to the Ministry and also will bridge the gap between the private and public sectors; knowing very well that the said man in charge has both the academic and professional expertise required for that office.
Hon. Abdul Kargbo of the main opposition -APC extolled Mr. Kalokoh for his overriding objective to transform the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank to a digitally placed leading financial institution in Sierra Leone. He averred that, Mr. Kalokoh is a man with an impeccable and unblemished character who has the skills to restore the sanctity of the economy to its appropriate state of affairs.
Emmerson Lamina from the C4C party also affirmed to the well that, President Bio didn’t make any mistake to appoint Mr. Kalokoh to such an enviable yet challenging position of trust to salvage the current economic retrenchment of the nation- subject to the fact that the adequate and proper livelihood of members of society depends on this singular government unit.
Members of Parliament assured the newly appointed Deputy Minister that the well of Parliament is always open to guide, support and approve concrete economic policies and reforms that gear towards nation building and a possible facelift in the nation’s economy.
Throngs of people including supporters: well-wishers: kinsmen and members of the public came out in solidarity to thank President Bio for this wonderful appointment. The people of Safroko Chiefdom-Bombali District are filled with great felicity for one of their sons to be appointed to serve the nation. Paramount Chief Dura of the same chiefdom and district has been a strong support system throughout this political appointment.
Bockarie Kalokoh has been a man of figures, professionalism and performance, surely he shall contribute tremendously towards salvaging the economy, bringing a huge private sector expertise to the public sector.
Mr. Kalokoh’s gigantic moral and financial support to the Leone Stars team can never go unmentioned. He portrays a great symbol of patriotism and his contributions to Sierra Leone are indelible. We wish him the very best in his new role.
