President Bio's making a Statement

The Press Secretary to President Julius Maada Bio, Solomon Jamiru told journalist in the maiden edition of the State House Press Conference on Friday 11 August that there has been no legal contestation of the Presidency of Julius Maada Bio.

“There has been no legitimacy crisis on the re-election of the President and there has been array of congratulations for the President on his re-election,” he maintained.

He explained that the President has five priority areas that he will want to focus on in the second term of his president, noting that the President has said that theey must eat what they plant.

“By the time we should be finishing second year of the second term, we should reasonably feed ourselves,” he said, adding that FEED SALONE has enormous potential because it also looks at they could export.

He said that on HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT, they will be focusing on skills development that are relevant to the 21st Century,

Pointing out that by the end of his second term, government should be able to provide 500,000 jobs.

He said that to achieve government policies, government is looking forward to a transformed Public Service.

On tech and infrastructure, the Press Secretary stated that they don’t just need the roads and bridges, but they also want to deepen the gains and expand them as far as they could.

Before now, an astute Lawyer who was Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Joseph Fitzgeral Kamara reportedly advised the APC to go to court, noting that failure to go to court is like tacitly accepting the result.

Even the international Community advised the APC to use the rule of law but the leadership of the APC decided on a boycott of governance.
