FREETOWN, Apr. 26 (SALONE TIMES) –The mandate of the Sierra Leone Cycling Association has come to an end for over five years now without going to pool. For the past years the members have been trying to elect new members to run the affairs of the association. The incumbent President Winston DC Crowther has long since resigned his position but still the members are yet to go to pool. Over the weekend, the executive of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and the National Sports Authority (NRA) members called the Cyclist members to a peace meeting at the OlympAfrica center in Goderich. The meeting was to bring them together and plan a date for election. But at the meeting the executive members of the Cycling association were absent without valid reasons. The President of NOC Dr. Patrick Coker told them that he was disappointed with the behavior of the executive members of the Cycling association. Dr. Coker told the delegates that they will not hold another peace meeting again and that in one week time they will come out with a decision to fog ahead. Majority of the stakeholders said they were tired with the infighting and that they want to go to pool and elect new members to run the association.
