NOC President poses with the five man committee

The President of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone (NOCSLE) on the 18th July 2023 led a five-man delegation to Switzerland.

 The visit was part of their 3 days working visit at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Headquarters, Olympic House in Lausainne.

The opening day engagement was a Meeting with Olympic Solidarity in which the area of NOC Management was discussed as the main topic. The NOC-SLE President and team did a presentation to IOC as part of the first day’s event.

The meeting continued with NOC Relations and in the main topic they engage in Institutional Relations & Governance. The meeting was climaxed with a courtesy visit to the IOC President, Thomas Bach at the Olympic House followed by a guided tour of the Olympic House.

The other members who accompanied the NOC-SLE President were; Unisa Deen Kargbo-Treasurer, Ms Marie Deborah Tarawallie-President, Sierra Leone Fencing Association, Victor Edward AmaraEx-officio II, Bai Bangura-Project Manager and Martin Momoh Bangura- Head Legal and Ethics Commission.

It was the first time over decades in the history of the Sierra Leone Olympics that a delegation from the NOC-SLE made such a visit to the world Olympic governing body, the IOC.
