FREETOWN – The National Olympic Committee (NOC) in Sierra Leone join Freetown City Council today Saturday 19th September 2020 to commemorate the World. According to the executive of NOC this year the Organization of Africa Olympic Committee in Africa (ANOCA) has informed all Olympic Committees in Africa to be part of the World Cleaning Day on Saturday 19th September 2020. In this case the NOC in Sierra Leone will join City Council and other NGOs in the country in the cleaning process on that day. Already NOC has target the Howe Street were the headquarters of NOC is in Freetown as the major street they will be cleaning on that day. According to the executive they have already held a meeting with the business people and the youths on Howe Street informing them about the cleaning exercise on Saturday. The President of NOC Dr. Patrick Coker said the cleaning process is in place as clean environment will not allow decease to settle especially when the Coronavirus is presently ravaging in the whole world.
