The new headquarters of Organe in Freetown

FREETOWN, Mar. 10 (232news.com) – Orange, one of the leading GSM operators in Sierra Leone, has officially opened its Freetown Headquarters office at Hill station West of Freetown.

The colourful ceremony also saw the bidding of farewell to the Executive Officer, Madam Aminata Kane Ndiaye on Wednesday 2nd March 2022.

Speaking at the event, the Hon. Boston Munda, Chairman of the Information and Communications Committee in Parliament, thanked Orange SL for a working relationship with parliament. He also thanked the outgoing CEO for her extensive work with Orange Mobile Company.

He also welcomed the incoming CEO for taking the bold step to work in Sierra Leone and thanked all the staff of Orange Mobile Company for tireless Job over the years in the company.

Amara Briwah, NATCOM Deputy Director General, thanked Orange for working hand in hand with NATCOM over the years and for also playing their role in digital migration.

He thanked the entire staff and Management of Orange for the good work done in the company.

In Her Keynote Address, the outgoing Chief Executive Officer Madam Aminata Kane Ndiaye, said that their purpose is to improve the daily lives of the people of Sierra Leone through wonderful digital experience, “And to achieve this purpose, the welfare of our Human Resources is the most vital pillar”.

She furthered that over the years, Orange has made great strides in empowering their staff through regular trainings, medical and life insurance, in-house health care, fitness sessions, canteen services and attractive benefits packages.

She thanked their stakeholders, Orange and Sonatel for financing the project in the sum of 11 billion Leones. She also thanked their contractor and architect, Arch Design- 100 percent local content for transforming their dream in reality.

“This team of Sierra Leoneans have over a period of two years produced this hyper-connected building that can accommodate 201 employees with 7 meeting rooms, 24 closed offices for the top management, and 4 waiting rooms”.  She noted that they have integrated the best of today’s collaborative working methods which anticipates the link between teleworking and on-site work.

She thanked her team for being the best of the best in the country, the region and the continent. She said they deserve this work environment and even more. She concluded that she is confident that this improved workplace will further inspire to work harder to achieve even better results in the coming years.
