FREETOWN, Feb. 24 (232news.com) – Two years since it was established and one of the leading insurance companies in the country, Globalrisk Insurance Company (GIC) – SL Ltd continues to adhered to its policies with customers nationwide as it presented Le109 Million cheques to client loan to 31 customers and beneficiary at its headquarters at 2 Wellington Street, Freetown on Friday 4th February 2022.
Globalrisk Insurance Company, Account and Finance Manager, Donald Coker stated that insurance has several benefits to enhance life and even after death and that the Company is giving out Le 109 Million client loan to customers after completion of a year contribution, adding, “GIC change lives of customers to meet their basic needs”.
Donald Coker said that GIC poised to do more to enhance the lives of civil servants so that they can improve their full potentials and achieve their dreams to live a comfortable life with their families, as this is almost impossible to achieve in their daily life considering the worldwide economic trends.
According to the Account and Finance Manager, several customers have benefitted from the loan scheme as the procedures are consistent in line with their policies, noting that, the company’s loan scheme is in full operations and that they have started granting loans to its customers since 2021 for which the company has disbursed over Six Hundred Million Leones (Le 600, 000,000) to its customers nationwide.,
“GIC as an institution is bent on improving the lives of all Sierra Leoneans that are eligible to take any of their policies”.
He revealed that the Gobalrisk Insurance Company has life insurance products include; ‘Gentri’ Assurance Plan, Guaranteed Education Assurance Plan among others, and the primary objective of the ‘Gentri’ Assurance Plan is to ensure that the policyholder lives a good life by affording loan facility to the customers to acquire basic household assets, save for the future, as well as providing benefit for dependants in the event of death of the customer; and the Guaranteed Education Assurance Plan helps customers save towards future education of their children, as well as providing yearly financial support to the child up to 18 years in the event that the customer dies before then.
One of the customer and beneficiary of the loan, Sahr Momoh a police officer commended GIC for fulfilling its contractual obligation to its policyholders in a year contribution to the scheme, adding, “today we receiving Le 109 Million loan in an insurance company that was established two years ago but several insurance companies to adhere to loan even being with them for two to three years and when they even say to loan you they will only give you Le 600,000”.
He assured that he will continue to contribute to the GIC as the loan will be utilised for its purpose as all the beneficiaries of the client loan scheme and death benefits Presentation of cheques climaxed the ceremony.
