OYES FC defeated one of the most determined and fierce team in the 18th edition of the Camp DIVA Youth league 3-0 at the Kroobay field. The above match was an opener match in group F where they have 4 teams of which two teams will qualify to the next stage. The first half of the match ended with a goalless draw result with the newcomers Walpole Street hoping they will at least return home with a point. The tempo of the game changed in the second half when OYES scored their first goal through Lansana Bangura (Paingay). Few minutes after the first goal Ismail Kamara aka Ogar scored the second goal bringing the result to 2-0 midway into the second half. In the dying minutes of the full time Akilis round up the scores to 3-0. At the end of the match an official of Walpole Strikers said such defeat was very humiliating and that they are going back to reorganize themselves for their two remaining group stage matches. He though said despite the defeat they have confident to qualify to the next stage of the league. The league will continue today with Abor FC engaging Ariston Stanley FC at the Kroobay field.
