PFSL in Kambia

FREETOWN, Sep. 28 (232News) –The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) and General Overseer of Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly has commissioned the interim executive of PFSL Kambia and Port Loko Chapters.

Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly and his executive name the two districts chapter executive during a successful tour in Kambia and Port Loko where they held a familiarization and interactive session with their constituents.

The tour which started on the 21st September 2021 at the Glory Mission Network International, Katimpe Road, Kambia 2, ended on Thursday 23rd September 2021 at the Zion Free Pentecostal Church, Barracks Road, Port Loko.

The PFSL President informed his audience that they are taking PFSL to the people as one of their visions.

He said PFSL is not an individual fellowship but one that represents the Whole Body of Christ in this nation, stressing on the importance for Pastors to act on behalf of the Church.

He cited the unity that is visible in other denominations but needs to be strengthened in the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches.

Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly expressed determination of working towards the proper development of a brother’s keeper mentality while building on the good foundation set up by his predecessors through the seven vision pillars God has given him to focus on for the next four years as PFSL President: Unity of the body, Harnessing collective strength, Harnessing the strength of the Pentecostal and Charismatic community in Sierra Leone, Growth and expansion- to ensure greater national impact for growth and expansion of the body, Collaboration/communication, Diaspora, Self – Regulation and Visibility and stability.

“It’s time we come together to protect ourselves. There is power, protection and safety in unity. We need to join forces to unite the South, East, North and West as we lift up each other together in prayers: this will make a big difference. We need to come together and stand in unity,” he called.

He encouraged the nine-man Kambia interim executive and the five-man Port Loko interim executive to be people of integrity and represent those regions well, noting that the interim executive will serve for six months’ and will be renewed base on their performance.  

He also emphasised that they should work with integrity and should get in touch with him if they need clarification to further strengthen their work.

Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly maintained that grate sacrifice is what they need to offer, witness to people and for them not to stand along or work in isolation or compete with others but let people see what they spent their time and energy on.

PFSL in Port Loko

“We need to come together, build strength and change the story of Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches in this nation,” he noted.

The interim Kambia PFSL Chairman, Bishop Simeon B. Kamara of the World of Life Apostolic and Prophetic Ministries International, Kambia gave thanks to God for such a day.

He extended appreciation to PFSL national executive for reaching out to them and emphasised that their visit is a reflection of the fact that the church has a future in Sierra Leone.

He informed his audience that it is not a place of position but a place of service and they should lead exemplarily in everything, devotion and commitment to see the expansion of the kingdom of God.

He said the way the chapters are created was done through consultation which they are very pleased with. 

“We cannot do anything without your cooperation. PFSL is not just going to be another organisation in Kambia but one that will be spreading the gospel and the body of Christ,” he assured.

Two provisional coordinators were appointed by Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly who also announced the appointment of Rev. David S. Coomber of Life Way Missions International, Kenema and Rev. Jeremiah K.A. Nyarko of Believers Assembly Ministries, Bo as Regional Coordinators for Southern and Eastern Sierra Leone respectively.
