TOMBO, 26th May, (232News) – The Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) Mobilization, Interaction, and Familiarization tour has impacted Pastors of Waterloo and the Peninsular.
The one-day seminar took place at the St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tombo on Friday 21st May 2021.
Delivering his December 2020 to April 2021 report, PFSL General Secretary, Rev. Tamba E.E. Mbayo, described the PFSL as an umbrella body for all Pentecostal and Charismatic churches in Sierra Leone that has been in existence for over 17 years.
He said that from its inception, the PFSL has had two dynamic Presidents. The former been interim and the latter substantive who served two consecutive terms of office. “On October 6th, 2020 the PFSL held its general elections which brought Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly, General Overseer of Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International and his executive into office for the next four years.”
The new executive he added started working in December 2020 and was inaugurated on the 17th January 2021.
He also spoke about their responses to disasters such as the Susan’s Bay fire outbreak and the concern for one another while emphasising that the PFSL want to make sure they touch all aspects of society.
The fruitful deliberation with Pastors, Evangelists and Ministers of the Pentecostal and Charismatic community in Tombo impacted God’s anointed servants in that region.
Rev. Kingsley Anoh of St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tombo expressed joy to be part of the deliberation and to have gained from the ‘Call to Order’ teaching by Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly.
He said more revelation came to him when Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly expounded Genesis 1:1-2.
Rev. Anoh went on to say that they have been hearing about other Christian organizations but nobody ever came to them except PFSL. That he said points to the fact that the PFSL has a leader with a vision.
“We so much appreciated your effort in coming to the Peninsular and we are so glad. PFSL has been in the city for long but this regime decided to bring it to the people. We would like to follow PFSL as you have put more fire on us”.
Speaking on behalf of the Pastors in the Western Urban district, he went on to say that the PFSL executive has made a very good impact within their six months in office.
“Your kind of leadership is the one Sierra Leone and Pastors need. We pray that God enables you to lead His people. It is not easy, we can understand. We pray for more grace to strengthen the Fellowship. PFSL is not a newly formed organisation but we have a leadership who seems to be interested in the Pastors.”
Pastor Timothy Charles of Pure Life Ministry said he was blessed to be in attendance and to also meet with Anointed God’s servants.
He said he is proud to be part of PFSL. He called for continuous prayers and that, all the good plans that Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly and his executive have put in place will come to pass.
“This is Kingdom work; it is spiritual business not physical. We need to put more emphasis on prayer, perseverance and determination. I believe that his dreams will come to pass.” Pastor Charles also said it was the first time for PFSL to come to them after his nine years of staying in Kerry Town.
President of PFSL and General Overseer of Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly formally commissioned PFSL Peninsular Chapter.
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly shared PFSL seven points vision to the Tombo Pastors as a means of serving the Body of Christ better in Sierra Leone:
- Unity of the body
- Harnessing collective strength: Harnessing the strength of the Pentecostal and Charismatic community in Sierra Leone

Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly said PFSL is the coming together of Holy Spirit filled Christian Churches and Organizations who believe and practice the Full Gospel Message (Act 2), in an independent and autonomous Christian Fellowship.
The PFSL President narrated a story about a snake and the fowl which he said one can easily defend fowls because they have owners. It is difficult to do so for snakes who did not have owners.
“We are quick to judge and flee from each other which is a snake’s behaviour. We don’t want to be like snakes who are without owner”.
In his teaching about “The Call To Order”, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly Genesis 1:1-3, 1 Corinthians 14:33&40, Job 9:8-9, Exodus 33:14, Isaiah 45:18, and Hebrews 4:12.
“God wants to see order and structure in Ministry. The Spirit of God inspired the Scriptures and He wants to see order even in our services”.
