The Sierra Leone Cricket Association has informed its members that they will be holding their 2022 Annual General Meeting on the 4th February 2023.

The above AGM will mark the start of the year 2023 were they will discuss matters pertaining development in Cricket. In the AGM, the members will review part of their constitution and amend the changes made later.

The above meeting is annual meeting where in the executive and the board members will update its members on their stewardship in the running of the association backed by the financial statement.

The executive will also present the budgets and development plans for the year 2023. The minutes of the last AGM in March last year will be read to the members.

According to the Chairman of the Cricket Board Francis Samura they are working in accordance with what the ICC member’s recommended that they should amend their constitution.

According to the ICC members the SLCA constitution should be in line with part 5 of the Company’s act of 2009 of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

In the congress, also the paid up members of the association will vote for suitable candidate for the post of Vice Chairman to replace Martin Michael who resigned few weeks back. Meanwhile, the Women’s T20 national league will commence soon to enable the Women to prepare for the Nigeria Women’s invitational in March 2023 before they will set off the Women’s T20 World Cup in June 2023.

 This will follow by the preparation of the U-19 Men’s Division 1tournament in Tanzania, July 2023.
