The board and executive members of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) last week interviewed two applicants for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for SLCA.
The two applicants were Suliaman Storm Koroma and Sheku Alim Cawray. The successful candidate will fill in the gap left behind by former CEO Philip Amara.
According to the Chairman of the board Francis Samura, Philip was appointed as the CEO in four months’ probation but said Philip did not met the full employment criteria of the above job as he was with another job that can’t give him chance to do the two jobs properly.
The CEO Job, he said is a full-time job in which the person will work even over the weekend when the need arises. The person, he said should have administrative knowledge and should be able to communicate well through emails and through other social media functions.
Francis went on that after the interview, the panelists who did the interview are now looking into the presentation of the two candidates and they will vote for the person among the two whom they feel is capable to do the work well.
He said they will announce the name of the successful person this week. The person, he said will start to get familiar with the office in the last week of January 2023 and will start full work officially on the 1st of February 2023.
