Ladies Patriots Set For the Saturday match

The Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) Kalahari Women’s T20 Tournament opening ceremony will take place tomorrow with Sierra Leone Ladies Patriots battling with Mozambique at 9:00am.

 At the Gaborone Oval 1, the host country Botswana will battle with the Eswatini Women’s national team. In the afternoon on the same day, Eswatini will engage Kuwait Women’s national team and at Oval 2, the host country will face Mozambique.

 On Sunday 27th April 2025, the Ladies Patriots will celebrate the Sierra Leone Independence anniversary playing two matches on match day 2.

 In the first match, Sierra Leone will engage Kuwait in the morning and in the afternoon they will face the host country Botswana. 

The teams will rest on Monday to resume with the last group stage matches on Tuesday. Sierra Leone will play their last group stage match against Kuwait at the Gaborone Oval 2. 

The tournament will end on Wednesday with the 3rd place play-off at the Gaborone Oval 1 in the morning between the 3rd and 4th place countries. 

The final match will take place in the afternoon between 1st and second place countries at the Gaborone Oval 1. According to source from Botswana, the Sierra Leone committee in Botswana has vowed to rally behind the team and give them the full support till the end of the tournament.

 The committee has also planned to celebrate the Sierra Leone Independence Anniversary with the team with a party on that day. 

The Team Manager for the Ladies, David Nelson Williams has assured Sierra Leoneans that they will motivate the Ladies to win the champion trophy and take it home.
