It has been confirmed now that CAF has reject Sierra Leone’s proposal to host Nigeria in Bo for the AFCON match day 5 qualifying match. According to the source, CAF rejected the proposal because the second city Bo lacks a 4 star hotel to host the visiting team. Very recently the newly built stadium in the city was qualified by CAF inspectors which gave hope to Sierra Leone to select Bo as the place to host Nigeria. Unfortunately, even after having a CAF qualified pitch, Sierra Leone failed to fulfill the other requirement to have at least a 4 Four-Star hotel to host the visiting team. There was also another concern also about the distance to Bo from Freetown which should be 200 KM or bellow but that was never a problem as there was another alternative road to Bo lesser than 200 KM. In this case the only alternative now is to find a neutral venue to play the match either in Guinea or Liberia which will enable some fans to travel and give full support to their players. The authorities have decided not to play the match in Morocco this time because they want the support of the fans. On to the time of going to press it was not yet clear where the match will take place.
