An article in social media claimed to be written by The Guardian Publication stated that the World Football governing body is investigating a former Sierra Leone Women’s Head coach over sexual harassment allegation.
The coach Abdulai Bah (Kaloga) few months back was accused by three female players who alleged that he sexually harassed them while they were preparing for an international competition.
Kaloga denied wrongdoing in the above matter when asked by the FA. The matter was taken to the Police for investigation. While investigating the matter, Kaloga was suspended as the head coach of the female and also as head coach for Old Edwardians FC.
The Police later threw out the matter saying they did not find any evidence to substantiate the claims of the three female players.
A few months after that an article published by The Guardian Publication on Wednesday 8th February 2023 stated that FIFA is investigating the above sexual harassment allegation.
Reacting to the publication on the social media, FA president Thomas Daddy Brima said they have no knowledge yet about the acclaimed FIFA investigation.
He went on that they are waiting to get it officially from FIFA before they will do anything about it. Meanwhile, the executive of Old Edwardians has released a news brief that it has come to their attention that a story published in the Guardian Newspaper that FIFA is investigating their head coach Abdulai Bah for alleged sexual harassment but they too said they have not been officially informed about it.
The question everyone is asking now is who took the matter to FIFA and why is FIFA investigating the matter without the knowledge of the country’s FA?
