FREETOWN, Sep 28 (SALONE TIMES) –Executive Director of Sierra Leone Road Authority (SLRA), Ing. Amara Kanneh has requested for 23 Billion Leones from the Ministry of Finance.
Ing Kanneh made this statement on Tuesday 21st September at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room at George Street in Freetown.
He explained that they are requesting Le 23 billion because his institution has to undertake activities for 2022, appealing to the Ministry Finance to consider his institution.
He bemoaned that what was given to them last year is Le 8 billion, despite they asked for Le20 Billion, noting that the 8 Billion that was given to them was not enough
He went on to say that for salary wages they are asking for Le 38 billion because they want to operate in all the districts.
According to the Executive Director of SLRA, the relationship between SLRA and Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA) is very cordial than before.
