The CEO of Star Sports Academy Yankuba Tarawally in a press briefing told the media that they have a big plan not only to develop their own football academy but to also to sell out other players out to football Agents.

In developing their own academy, he said they have acquired a huge acres of land at Songo to build an academy which will provide playing grounds and accommodation.

The academy will also have education facilities for the young Boys as there must be life after their football career. Besides, he said not all will end up to be professional players.

At the press briefing were two football Agents who were from Turkey and Spain respectively. To allow them scout out players, they organize two tournaments one in Makeni which involve U-15 & U-17 with players from six different clubs.

Among the six clubs, three clubs were from the provinces and three from the Western Area. In the other tournament organized in Freetown were the U-14 and U-15 from 8 teams four from the regions and four from the Western Area. The competition in Freetown started yesterday and will end today at the Angola field.
