Sources reaching SALONE TIMES Sports desk state that the management of Star Sports Academy in Sierra Leone has signed a partnership deal with Antalyaspor FC in Turkey. Few days ago, three youth players from the Star Sports Academy left for Turkey to do trials with Antalyaspor FC U-19 team. While in Turkey the two teams signed a partnership deal that will benefit them both. The deal was signed on Thursday by the representatives of both clubs. The partnership deal signing took place at the Sense Hotel in Antalya-Turkey. Present at the deal signing were top executive officials of the Turkish club including their International Relations and Strategic planning manager Erdem Erdal who signed for the Turkish club, on the side of Star Sports Academy were the owner of the academy Yankunba Tarawally and the Team Manager Musa Kposawa. Sources claim that the partnership deal was facilitated by the two internal football Agents who came to Sierra Leone early August 2023 to witness the Detect Tournament in Makeni and Freetown. The purpose of the Academy executive being in Turkey was to market their three players with the Turkish club. But the performance of the three players convinced Antalyaspor to sign partnership deal which will enable them to be the first club the Academy will do players business with. Despite the deal in the case there is a player they don’t want they will allow the academy to do business with another clubs.
