In what many Sierra Leoneans have described a Putin Styled Town Hall Meeting in which soft questions and patronizing comments were made about the 6yrs of President Bio in Office, the President said that he has done more on infrastructure more than any President before him
It was the head of Government Propaganda, Chernor Bah who is also the Minister of Information and Civic Education who as expected posed leading questions to President Bio.
“I am the Infrastructure President, the number of bridges we have built when we take over is overwhelming. No government has done it yet,” Bio reiterated.
He revealed that they have built roads and bridges more than any government, pointing out that they have done bridges where their used to be ferries.
He noted that over five of the bridges are on going in various part of the country for which the World Bank has given them more support for other five more bridges.
“Infrastructure is the backbone of development. We have to link up with Falaba and Falaba Road is going on. Infrastructure is not something to boost about but a basic necessity for development,” the President said.
This statement has got so many people confused because they said they don’t know Bio as someone who invests on infrastructure, noting that the current infrastructure including public buildings could be accredited to former Presidents like Siaka Stevens, Ahmed Tejan Kabbah and Ernest Bai Koroma.
