FREETOWN, Jan. 26. (232news.com) – Westminster Foundation a charitable wing of West Minister Group donated food items and commodities worth millions of Leones to survivors of the Wellington fuel taker exploration.

The donation which took place last Thursday 16th December, 2021 at the Connaught hospital complex in Freetown was also witness by the survivals.

Westminster, Country Manager, Musayeroh Barrie disclosed that the some of the survivors are ready to go home and they need to be supported for them to take care of themselves and their families during the holiday period.

Musayeroh Barrie described the disaster as a tragic of which nobody wishes to involve or caught up in.

She prayed for the departed souls and called on the community to come together to support the survivors for them to get back on their feet’s.

“We look forward to continue doing business and showing support as and when necessary,” she concludes. 

Westminster Aviation Security Manager, Neil Fowler while presenting the items said their support is significant because the victims have been going through the most traumatic experience and they want to give them a helping hand which is a wonderful thing to do.

The general household commodity was received by the Connaught Hospital Care Manager, Dr. Mustapha S. Kabba on behalf of the survivors.

He thanked Westminster Foundation for presenting such needed items to the patients.

He pointed out that they have gone through disaster, mourning, healing and now a period of recovery where patients are going back home a lot is also needed in terms of nutritional support and counseling.

“We really appreciate this kind gesture; this is what we have been receiving from Sierra Leoneans and non-Sierra Leoneans in and out of the country and we are really delighted at the response we have received so far as a hospital management.” 

Westminster is a group of Company that has been providing aviation security at the Freetown International Airport for over 9 years.
