FREETOWN, Aug 25 (SALONE TIMES) – Last Saturday August 16, Cecilia Moifula a descendant of Njama town, Kowa Chiefdom in the Moyamba District based in the UK put smile on the faces of 110 women in the above Chiefdom with the disbursement of Le110M to 110 women.
The Micro Credit program code name Bodayila Women of Njama program meaning (One Family Women of Njama) was launched on the above date with each women receiving Le1M to be paid in three months.
Cecilia told the beneficiaries to put the money into good business that could enable them to pay back in the period of three months.
Apart from the above gesture, Cecilia has also been helping her people with different development projects like rehabilitation, construction of schools, awarding scholarships to deserving students entering universities, medical assistance to the most vulnerable ones and many more.
In her statement, she told the women that she can’t be able to help them always, a reason she said she is capacitating them with funds that they will use to bring income to them and their family members.
She told those who were not fortunate to be in the first batch to patiently wait for their own time.
She reechoed that the women should put the money in good use that will bring profit.
With the Chiefdom ready to elect a new paramount Chiefdom, she advised the supporters of each candidate to be peaceful in their campaign as they are all one family.
As a business woman herself, she guided them on how they should manage the business, noting that to do a successful business is not when one has millions of Leones, but when one uses the little one has to turn it to Millions.
The launching ceremony was graced by stakeholders in the chiefdom like Parliamentarian, Councilors, Regent Chief, Section Chiefs, and Town Chiefs in the chiefdom.
