The President of the Female Caucus also representing Bo district Hon Neneh Lebbie has said that as women they need more than 30% because they as women want to partner with other women to look at issues affecting women.
Hon Lebbie made this statement while debating the Presidential Speech at the well of Parliament.
She went on to say that the President has paid fees for the women and children through free quality education.
The president has helped women greatly by passing the Gender Empowerment Act 2022 by appointing young people into his cabinet and women representation in parliament.
She said as parliamentarians they are going to partner with the Ministry of Gender affairs so that they can look at women issues because now women can get access to land, and machineries for agriculture because they are also involved in farming and there are women who are active in mining.
She lamented on the issue of climate change and that if they want to stop it, they should reduce the use of charcoal to cook.
Deputy Majority Leader 2 Hon Emerson Lamina said for a government to be successful, it should spend so much on agriculture.
