The executive of Old Edwardians FC has signed a contract with Francis Zapa Koroma as head coach and Alpha Sillah as his assistant coach.
Both coaches are former East End Lions coaches. In their contract agreement, the two coaches are to take the club out of the relegation zone.
Old Edwardians ended in the 16th position at the end of the first round of the premier league. At the end of the first round, Edwards is with 16 points in 17 matches played.
Edwards struggled last season to stay in the premier league due to poor performance. Before the start of the league, Edwards signed new players who started well in the league.
No sooner they started losing matches continuously, than the executive changed the coach. They signed a contract with Abdulai Kaloga Bah another former East End Lions coach. Kaloga resigned from his post as the head coach, leaving the club in the relegation zone.
To achieve their task ahead Zapa and Sillah are looking into the market to beef up the team with new signings for the second rounds. They are one point below relegation as such a single victory will take them out of relegation.
