Parliament Summons Ministry of Sports, NSA, NOC and Sporting Associations

The reconstituted Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Sports has summoned key sports administrators to a meeting at Committee Room One, Parliament Building, Tower Hill, Freetown.

Those invited include the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports, the Director of Sports, the Executive Director and Deputy Director of the National Sports Authority, the President of the National Olympic Committee, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, the President of the Sierra Leone Athletics Association, and the Chairman of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association.

The Oversight Committee has been reconstituted for the Third Session of the Sixth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone.

The committee is now chaired by Hon. Rachel Miriatu Pessima, who replaces Hon. Gevao.

According to the summons letter, the meeting is intended to allow the sports administrators to brief the new committee on the state and activities of sports development in the country.
