NOC/CGA Invites Members To Annual General Meeting

Members of the National Olympic Committee/ Commonwealth Games Association (NOC/CGA) have called their members to meet tomorrow at the OlymAfrica Centre at Godrich in Freetown. According to source over 70 members are set to grace the 2026 AGM tomorrow.
At the AGM, the executive of NOC/CGA will update the members about their activities and plans for the upcoming activities.
An update on will be the Commonwealth Games that will be taking place in Scotland next month will be done.
The Chef De Mission will update on the latest of the Games preparation of the various sports that will be representing Sierra Leone in the Games. The Chef De Mission will also give updates on the Youth Olympic Games that will be hosted in Senegal.
In the last AGM, at the Country Lodge Hotel in Freetown under the theme of One Team, One Vision that was graced by several government officials and several members of associations, the president of NOC/CGA Prince Vandy Sualley assured the members of his committee’s commitment to good governance, transparency and athlete- centered NOC.
The members witness the presentation of the Quadrennial strategic plan outlining priority areas which includes governance reform, athletes’ development, Olympic education and international partnerships.
It was unanimously agreed at the AGM that the next elective congress will take PLACE after the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA.
Also, at the AGM, new members if any will be approved by the members. The Secretary General/ CEO will read the minute of the last meet for the members to endorse.
The Treasurer will read the financial statement of the committee, and the members will endorse it also.
Members will tomorrow ask questions and will also make valid input that will bring development into the Olympic sports.
