FREETOWN, Aug. 16 (232News) – Customers in one of Sierra Leone’s leading banks, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) have expressed joy over the Bank’s *3737# product.

The product which was launched a year ago has made huge impact in the lives of customers.

One of GTBank customers, Aminata Kamara described the *3737# product as one of the best things that happened to her. Aminata said she has been banking with GTBank for so long but this *3737# product eased all her worries.

With the *3737# product, she emphasised she uses it to buy recharge cards, transfer money from her account to her brother’s GTB account in the province, pay EDSA bill and even use it to open an account for her younger sister. 

Another customer, Osman Musa Mansaray said the *3737# product have helped him to cut down the back and forth to the bank and also help him to minimized the long queues at the bank because he is using the service to check his balance and pay bills.

Mary Hannah Godwin described *3737# product as very helpful. She said it is an easy way for her to get her BBAN number and Bank statements.

GTBank has been rated as one of Sierra Leone’s finest Bank that offers reliable and modern services to its numerous customers.

GTBank’s Managing Director Ade Adebiyi, reaffirmed that *3737# is an easy way for customers to get their BBAN through their phones, check their Bank Account balances by themselves, get mini statements, purchase airtime and pay electricity bills.

He went on to say customers can also use the service to transfer money via their phones or use their phones to open Bank Accounts. These services, he added, need no internet but the customer needs an Africell SIM, and quite shortly Orange SIM as well.

He emphasised that the first thing a customer must do is to register which can be done through Option 7 in order to access the service which is free and does not require internet.

During registration, he stated, the customer will be asked to enter a secret question to which he/she is oblige to come up with an answer and continue the process from there.

The *3737# product was launched to ease banking hassle. The product enables GTBank customers to use their phones to conduct transactions as well as avail non-customers the opportunity to open new account.
