FREETOWN, 232news – A Call To Business (ACTB) Savings and Loans Bank has rewarded five customers with valuable prizes in its ongoing Save & Win Promotion, reinforcing its efforts to encourage a consistent savings culture among customers.
The prizes were presented on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the bank’s headquarters in Brookfields, Freetown.
The five winners qualified for the draw through their savings in September. The presentation marked the third prize-giving ceremony in the ongoing promotion, which is scheduled to end in January 2027.
The winners received a range of household and electronic appliances. Raymond Joshua from Kono won a juice blender, Henry Koroma from Freetown received a DStv set, Alhassan Bah of the Lumley Branch won a 32-inch smart television, while Kadiatu Koroma of the Wellington Branch received a gas cooker. The star prize, a 9,000-BTU air conditioner, went to Sylvester Udosen from Kono.
Speaking at the ceremony, ACTB Chief Finance Officer Ibrahim Kamara said the promotion was not only about handing prizes to lucky customers but also about celebrating their achievements and encouraging people to develop the habit of saving.
“We are not only here to hand over prizes to our lucky winners but also to celebrate the joy of winning,” Kamara said.
He explained that the promotion was designed to help customers build a savings culture, noting that saving regularly could provide financial security and a starting point for addressing future needs.
“ You are saving for tomorrow, so that you will have somewhere to start if anything happens in the future,” he said.
Kamara explained that customers could qualify for the monthly draw by opening an account with the bank and saving at least Le 10,000. He added that customers who continued saving throughout the promotion would automatically qualify for the grand finale in January 2027.
“We are not only saving to create a better future but also to help you realise something,” he added.
According to the bank, customers who save Le 10,000 receive one entry into the monthly draw, while those who save larger amounts earn additional chances to win.
The winners expressed appreciation to ACTB for introducing the promotion and rewarding customers for saving.
One of the winners, Kamara, who said he had been saving with ACTB for more than five years, pledged to maintain his relationship with the bank.
“I have been with ACTB for over five years, and I will continue to save with you guys,” he said.
He added that his ultimate ambition was to win the grand prize vehicle expected to be awarded at the promotion’s finale.
Other winners also expressed joy over the initiative and encouraged members of the public to join ACTB, describing the promotion as an opportunity for customers to benefit from additional rewards while building their savings.
