He emphasised that the promotion will be their first promotion since 2007 that they have been in existence for over 15 years; “For someone to be at age 15 means that individual is mature,” he said.

“For us to be able to survive through the waves, turbulence, Ebola pandemic, Covid-19 pandemic, and the currency challenge that we had and for financial institution going through that kind of situation means a lot and since then, in all of these events ACTB has been able to come out much more stronger,” he stated.

He underscored that they have over 30,000 clients across the country, both active borrowers and depositors, and that they want to be able to identify with them and therefore they are starting in all of their 12 branches across the country, noting that if people are able to receive remittances whether through Money gram, Afro, Western Union, they have put together sets of items for their customers to go through this period.

“Even though we have series of promotions that are lined up, this would be the first in the marathon of promotions, therefore this day give us the greatest pleasure to have the Easter Ramadan promotion launched and as we launch it in our head office, simultaneously it takes effect across our 12 branches. I want to continue to thank our esteemed customers, because they are the reason why we are here to serve,” he stated.

Giving the purpose of the event, Marketing Manager at Rockslyn Alwyn Findlay said they organised the event for newsmen to observe the symbolic launch of the Easter-Ramadan promotion which is the very first promotion that they are organizing.

He said the purpose of the launching is geared towards mobilizing deposits, increasing their awareness base and also ensuring that as a financial institution they are able to give back to society, adding that they choose the Easter-Ramadan period because Sierra Leone is a country that embraces religious tolerance.

Responding to questions from the press, Findlay said someone will win one of the prices as soon as they went to any of their branches to do money transfer and that the individual will receive the price he or she wins.

He also said there is something for everyone, but base on some amounts, determine the item he or she is going to win.

He noted that the promotion is not necessarily for ACTB customers, but it is also for the public as someone can just walk into any of their branches without having an account at ACTB, once that individual come for money remittance services, that person is part of the promotion.
