Adding that, the drastic decline in this ratio to bring it to a low 9% in 2024 compared to previous years is due to there basing of economic parameters used to compute the GDP.
The report stated that this rate has been stable since 2024,when the GDP was rebased which increased the GDP to more than 146% (2024 NLE163,889,889) compared to 2023 (NLE66,631,000) and slightly increased in 2025 to NLe180,678,442.
“While the domestic revenue has only increased by 17% between the 2 years, the GDP also increased by 10%,” the report noted.
