FREETOWN, Aug 3 (232news.com) – Bishop Wilson and Wife join other church leaders at the Canterbury Cathedral and Lambeth Palace, University of Kent to attend the 15th Lambeth Conference which will run from 26th July to 8th August 2022.

Convened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in July and August 2022, the Lambeth Conference is an international meeting of Anglican bishops. The conference discusses church and world affairs and the global mission of the Anglican Communion for the decade ahead.

The conference theme is ‘God’s Church for God’s World – walking, listening and witnessing together.’ The conference will explore what it means for the Anglican Communion to be responsive to the needs of a 21st Century world.

Meeting around every ten years since 1867, the Lambeth Conference is one of the four Instruments of Unity in the Anglican Communion.

During the conference, Bishop Wilson will be making series of engagements with other diocese to share, learn and partner for the vision of the Anglican Communion in Sierra Leone.

During his time in London, The Right Revd. Thomas Ikunika Wilson will be making series of presentations as guest Speaker on the theme “Hope and Reconciliation in a World of Conflict” at Kent. Bishop will be making visitations to Anglican communities and families in Manchester, Tottenham, Central London and Chichester before their return.
